Opening Prayer, Thursday Morning Announcement to Zechariah, Maronite Liturgy
O loving One, you make your sun to rise on the good and the bad, and your rain to fall upon the just and the unjust, let the light of your divine gifts shine in the hearts of those who adore you. Illumine us by the light of your feast, so that resplendent with these lights, we may give you glory, now and forever. Amen. First Prayer, Tuesday Morning Announcement to Zechariah, Maronite Liturgy.
Lord, have mercy on us and save us. Each morning we acknowledge your name. Deign to acknowledge us, on your great Morning when, in your justice, you will judge us. In your goodness, do not disown us, for we find refuge in you, and call upon you, our Lord and God. To you be glory forever. Amen. Photo by Motoki Tonn on Unsplash “Our God is with us, Emmanuel. He is present in the Mystery of the Body, which is the Mystery of the Eucharist. We stop today to meditate on the banquet, the divine banquet which is set on three tables: …”. An excerpt from the article: “A Banquet” by Fr. Maroun Moubarak.

Shadi Beshara “The Christian feast of the Dedication of the Church recalls that the Church of Christ, while constantly in need of purification, has conquered all false teachings and gods. The powers of darkness and evil have no power over the Light. It is through the Church that Christ's salvific mission is accomplished in the world. For that reason, it is aptly called the "Light of the Nations” (Lumen Gentium, 1).

O Lord, grant that in praising you, we may be enlightened, find our joy in you, and recognize you as the giver of that light which dispels darkness and creates morning. O Father, Son and Holy Spirit, whom all creatures must adore, to you be glory, forever. Amen. Photo by Casey Horner on Unsplash “LORD, I call to you; hasten to me;
listen to my plea when I call. Let my prayer be incense before you; my uplifted hands an evening offering. Set a guard, LORD, before my mouth, keep watch over the door of my lips. Do not let my heart incline to evil, to perform deeds in wickedness. On the delicacies of evildoers let me not feast.” Psalm 141:1-4 Psalm 141 is part of the evening Wednesday prayer, 7th Week after Holy Cross, Maronite Liturgy. Photo by Fr. Glory to you, Creator of the light that dispels darkness and gives joy to your creatures. Create in us, Lord, works of light; disperse the clouds of sin and fill us with the glorious radiance of your grace, for in you we find refuge and call upon you, our Lord and our God, to you be glory forever.
