Free yourself from the ropes that bind you: your own thoughts, your personal beliefs, and your passions bind you like the ropes that tie the boat to the shore. A boat on the shore in a port is held by its ropes, which provide its safety but prevent it from sailing. Let the word of God untie your ropes and cut that which needs to be cut, rope after rope, even if you suffer.

June 26th is the feast day of the Lebanese Blessed Jacques the Capuchin. His spirituality was based on the cult of the Cross, devotion to the Virgin Mary, and unlimited trust in Divine Providence. A giant in charity who was recognized by both religious and civil authorities.
Blessed Jacques: “Charity has to be universal, which means we have to love everyone, because all are children of God; all have been redeemed by the Savior’s precious Blood; all are temples of the Spirit; all are called to praise God in heaven for all eternity. The human race is one family.” Explore the biography, work, quotes, and videos (with English subtitles) of Blessed Jacques the Capuchin HERE. June 24 is the Birth of St. John the Baptist.

"...the aim of the Holy Spirit is for me to meet and experience the Living Jesus, and to profess this Living Jesus as Lord. The Holy Spirit needs to say nothing more to me. All He wants to teach me and tell me is that, Jesus Himself is living, living in an absolute sense, and living in you. The moment you try to crucify in yourself the Living One and not profess that He conquered death is the moment you shut out the Holy Spirit, and consequently declare Jesus accursed, and hang Him anew on the wood of the Cross."
