 Members of the Family of Saint Sharbel USA participated in a Lenten retreat with the Maronite Monks of Adoration at Most Holy Trinity Monastery in Massachusetts, from Thursday, March 12 to Sunday, March 15, 2026. Throughout the retreat, participants were invited into a deeper reflection on the spiritual meaning of Lent. The talks offered by Fr. Robert and Fr. Maron explored the traditional pillars of the season—prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, the suffering of Jesus during Holy Week, and scenes and lessons from the Resurrection. In addition to the spiritual talks, retreatants received the Sacrament of Reconciliation and spent time in private prayer and meditation. They also took part in the monks’ daily liturgical life, including Safro (Morning Prayer), the Divine Liturgy, Midday Prayer, Ramsho (Evening Prayer), and Sotooro (Night Prayer). The retreat concluded with a Q&A session led by Abbot Patrick. On Sunday, the group joined the monks for the Divine Liturgy, received their final blessings, and then returned home.

 From December 4-7, members of the Family of Saint Sharbel, USA, gathered once again at Most Holy Trinity Monastery in Massachusetts, home of the Maronite Monks of Adoration, for their annual Christmas retreat.
Guided reflections led participants through the stories of Zechariah, Saint Joseph, the shepherds, and the Holy Family—figures whose faith, humility, and watchfulness illuminate the path toward Christmas. The monks’ reverent celebration of the Liturgy of the Hours, including Midday Prayer, Ramsho, and Sootoro, created a rhythm of praise and contemplation that shaped the retreat’s atmosphere. An engaging Q&A session with Abbot Patrick on Saturday provided an opportunity for deeper insight and meaningful dialogue.
Sunday’s Divine Liturgy with the monks marked the conclusion of the retreat, after which the participants received their blessings and returned home. The retreat offered participants a chance to deepen their faith through prayer, meditation, and enlightening talks.
The retreat schedule included silent group adoration, confessions, spiritual direction and opportunities for private prayer and meditation. Attendees participated in the liturgy of the hours for the Morning, Midday, Evening and Night. On Sunday, the retreatants joined the monks for the Divine Liturgy, received their blessings for the journey, and then returned home. During the retreat, Abbot Patrick, Fr. Robert, and Fr. Maron delivered talks covering: The Transformative effect of Fast; The Transformative effect of Prayer and Almsgiving; Awareness of vices & virtues. The talks were followed by Q&A sessions.
 A group of the Family of Saint Sharbel, USA, attended a Christmas retreat from December 7 to 10 at Most Holy Trinity Monastery, home to the Maronite Monks of Adoration, located in Massachusetts.  During the retreat, on Friday, Fr. Robert delivered a talk on scenes related to pre-Nativity centered on Luke chapter 1. On Saturday, Fr. Robert continued with a presentation on "Nativity, Shepherds, Presentation," focusing on Luke 2:1-40, while Fr. Maron addressed "Annunciation, Magi, Flight to Egypt, Children Martyrdom" based on Matthew 1:18-2:23. In addition to the talks, the group participated in the liturgical activities conducted by the monks, including Morning Prayers (Safro), Divine Liturgy, Midday Prayers, Evening Prayers (Ramsho), Night Prayers (Sotooro), Confessions, and dedicated time for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. On Sunday, the retreatants joined the monks for the Divine Liturgy, received their blessings for the journey, and then returned home.
