On the occasion of the birthday of Saint Sharbel, the Family of Saint Sharbel celebrated a prayer gathering on Saturday, May 8th, 2021, at the Shrine of Saint Sharbel, the National Shrine Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes. At 12 PM, Fr. Theodore Trinko, IVE- Chaplain of the National Shrine Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes celebrated Holy Mass in St. Mary's Chapel. After the Holy Mass, Father James Brent, O.P. led the Liturgy of the Hours prayers for St. Sharbel followed by the blessing with St. Sharbel’s Relic and holy oil. Following the blessing, Fr. Brent led a procession with the relic of Saint Sharbel (placed in a cedar-shape reliquary) while the faithful followed singing Maronite hymns. At the shrine, they gathered for the final blessing with the relic.

A group of the Family of Saint Sharbel, USA, attended a retreat (August 13 to 16) with the Maronite Monks of Adoration at the Most Holy Trinity Monastery in Massachusetts. On Friday, the evening and night prayers prepared for the celebration of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin. Saturday, August 15, the morning prayers and the Divine Liturgy celebrated the feast of the Assumption. On this occasion, the group had a special lunch with the monks. After the Mass of the celebration of the feast of Saint Sharbel that took place on the 18th of July 2020, at the National Shrine Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes, in Emmitsburg, Maryland, Fr. Theodore Trinko carried the Relics of Saint Sharbel, processing with it among the faithful and blessing them as he went by. Meanwhile the choir director chanted in English and Arabic the proper traditional Maronite hymns. The homily of Fr.
