Testimony of Samir Youssef Abed El Sater
Mr. Samir Youssef Abed El Sater, born in 1940, in Alma Shaeb, is married to Therese Elias Abou Tayeh. He is the father of three kids. His son tells of the father’s health based on medical records.
“Five years ago, my father felt pain in his pylori, which lasted for a period of two years. After visiting the doctor, he underwent medical tests. Cancerous tumors were found. He referred us to a specialist who requested he undergo a PET scan.
My father and I visited Saint Sharbel’s Tomb before going through the PET scan. He asked for Saint Sharbel’s intercession with the Lord Jesus Christ for the grace of healing. He drank from Saint Sharbel’s oil. After our visit, we headed to Our Lady of Help Hospital in Jbeil to undergo the scan. The results were that the lymph nodes were infected by cancer.
He had five chemotherapy sessions, after which his body collapsed and his fever went up.
He was admitted to Saint Joseph Hospital in Dawra where he spent two weeks. The doctors could not find the reason for the high fever. He had lost 25 kilograms.
On the eve of Saint Rita’s feast, on the 22nd, which also marks the day of the healing of Mrs. Nohad Al Shami, we prayed for Saint Sharbel’s intercession. We prayed that my father would leave his bed with no fever.
Two days later, my father’s condition deteriorated, and he entered into a coma. He released a death rattle. He was transferred by the Red Cross from the house to Jabal Amel Hospital, where he spent nine days without any food.
We gave him some of Saint Sharbel’s oil. At night, he went to the toilet. He excreted all the urine together with 2 liters of blood. I called the doctor who requested 2 blood units for my dad.
The next morning, he asked for a meat pie and he ate it after three months of not eating.
He returned home. He underwent a few medical tests. His healing was confirmed.
