Healing Testimony of Rita Khalil Al-Nawar
Mrs. Rita Khalil Al-Nawar, born in Yahshoush, Lebanon, in 1984, married to Mr. Antoine Al-Nawar, and a mother of three children, resides with her family in Safra, Lebanon. She recounts her health based on medical records.
“In February 2010, I fainted due to a high ‘cholesterol’ attack while I was at work. I consulted Dr. Youssef Khalil, who requested various blood tests and analyses. The results revealed an extremely high cholesterol level, inherited from my father who passed away at the age of 46 due to this condition.
Subsequently, I visited Dr. Elizabeth Abou Jawde, a specialist in internal medicine, who has been overseeing my case since 2013. From that time, I tried all available medications to treat cholesterol, but they didn't suit my body due to their side effects. These medications caused joint and muscle pain throughout my body due to their composition.
After losing hope in my recovery, I turned to the physician of heaven, Saint Sharbel. I visited the hermitage, knelt and said: 'This is the hermitage where you used to kneel and pray. Here I come, seeking strength from your weakness. By the tears of your mother, I ask for a drop of your blood to cleanse mine and heal me from my illness in any way. Intercede for me before our Lord Jesus Christ and heal me.'
On September 10, 2022, I underwent new medical tests, confident in the intercession of Saint Sharbel. The miracle occurred, as my cholesterol level decreased for the first time since my diagnosis, now even better than normal. I am healed through the intercession of Saint Sharbel. Thus, I come with my husband to thank him, bringing the medical report, and officially recording the miracle on September 17, 2022."
