Healing Testimony of Pauline Samir Al-Sayah
Mrs. Pauline Samir Al-Sayah is married to Mr. Bassam Elie Khoury and is a mother of two children. She was born in 1990 in Jal El Dib, Lebanon and currently resides in Ain Al-Kharouba, Bikfaya. She recounts her health based on medical records.
"My name is Pauline Sayah. Five years ago, I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. Despite being on medication for three years, there was no improvement in my condition. It was then that Dr. Elias Chlela decided to perform an operation to eliminate the disease from the infected intestine.
Two years later, I developed volvulus and was admitted to Saint Joseph Hospital in Dawra for a colectomy. This was recommended by Dr. Marwan Shemali, who decided to perform emergency surgery the next morning. I spent the whole night in pain.
I cried out to Saint Sharbel and asked him to intercede on my behalf with the Lord Jesus Christ f for the grace of a miracle. I pleaded, 'Saint Sharbel, do your work and spare me from surgery and pain so that I may find restful sleep, as I am unable to sleep.' After offering my prayers, I fell into a deep slumber.
During my sleep, the nurse attending to me noticed that the flow of fluids through the intravenous (IV) had ceased. As she touched my hand to investigate, I awoke. I asked why she had touched my hand, and she explained that she was fixing the IV. I then informed her that Saint Sharbel had stopped the IV, prompting her to remove it from my hand. Subsequently, I had a normal bowel movement when I went to the toilet.
Upon verifying my regular bowel activity, the doctor decided to cancel the scheduled surgery. He suggested a new x-ray to ensure that the volvulus had resolved. A new x-ray was conducted, and the results were positive. I was discharged and instructed to undergo an endoscopy one week later. When I did, the doctor commended me for my faith.
Following these events, my aunt Lodi, a devout believer in Saint Sharbel, came to visit me. She shared that it was unnecessary for me to explain what happened at the hospital because Saint Sharbel had already revealed everything to her. She told me that he had been present with me during my time at the hospital and was the one who stopped the IV.
On August 7, accompanied by my family, I visited Saint Sharbel to thank him for the grace of the healing and to register the miracle. Thank you Saint Sharbel!”
