Testimony of Mona Jerjes Homsi

Mrs. Mona Jerjes Homsi, born in Aleppo in 1973, married to Mr. Samir Elias Kotati Edelbi, is the mother to 3 children.

"I got a lump in my breast. I went to Dr. Walid Ghantous in Lebanon for a check-up. I did some tests at Abou Jawde Hospital and x-rays at the Armenian Clinic in Bourj Hammoud.

After a biopsy conducted at Abou Jawdeh Hospital, results came that I had cancer in the left breast and my left hand. Since treatment is expensive in Lebanon, we decided to return to Syria for treatment.

Before we left Lebanon, I visited Saint Sharbel in Annaya and asked for his intercession with the Lord Jesus and for the grace of a miracle to recover from my illness. I asked him not to leave me and to prove his presence in my life and to grant me the blessing of seeing him.

I swallowed a grain of sand from his grave, put on his girdle, and drank some oil blessed by his bones. After the visit, I vomited a large amount of green bile.

In Syria, the doctor requested more tests to check where the cancer was at. That’s when I started talking to Saint Sharbel, telling him that I brought him with me from Lebanon and asking him not to give up on me.

He appeared to me in my dream. He showed me that my body was cancer-free. He, however, did not show me the infected area.

My body responded quickly to chemotherapy. After the fourth session, my surgery was determined. I requested that it would take place on the 22nd of the month, because it was Saint Sharbel’s day.

Before the surgery, I did the sign of the cross. I saw Saint Sharbel by my side; he told me, ‘Do not be afraid, I am with you.’

When I entered my room after the surgery, the doctor asked me the reason for smiling throughout the operation. I told him and my family that Saint Sharbel was present during my operation and that he placed a rose on my pillow. The doctor said we were surprised by the rose on the pillow.

The surgery was a success and Saint Sharbel helped me recover fully. I registered the miracle with complete medical records on August 1, 2021."
