Testimony of Georgette Asaad Faris
Mrs. Georgette Asaad Faris is married to Rizallah Nassar and is the mother of four children. She was born in Beirut in 1946 and resides in Haddath, Beirut. Her daughter Ghada Nassar recounts her mother’s health based on medical records.
“I, the undersigned, Ghada Nassar, certify that my mother, Georgette Nassar, was diagnosed with cancer in her stomach and her right lung in 2019.
She underwent chemotherapy at Mount Lebanon Hospital for three years. She lost 35 Kilograms of her body weight. We prayed a lot to Jesus Christ and asked Saint Sharbel to intercede with Jesus to heal my mother from her chronic illness so she could return and tend to her family.
I asked Saint Sharbel to open his closed eyes, as they appear in the icon, as a sign of listening to my prayers. In April 2022, I dreamt of Saint Sharbel opening and closing his eyes. I was certain that he would heal her from cancer. At the same time, my mother dreamt that she was in a forest and a big sign read ‘Annaya, Saint Sharbel’. He, then, appeared to her holding her crutch.
My mother was admitted to the hospital for tests and a PET scan again. On April 21, 2022, the results showed no sign of cancer, it had disappeared. She was healed.
I have come, together with my mother, to offer thanks to Saint Sharbel for the grace of a miracle. We registered the miracle on May 18, 2022. Glory be to you Lord Jesus Christ and thank you Saint Sharbel.”
