Testimony of George Theodore Kayrouh
Mr. George Theodore Kayrouh, born in Chikka in 1967, married to Mrs. Nahla and a father of two. He is a bank employee, living in Chikka. He talks about his health condition supported by medical records.
“I was in the office at the bank when I felt a sharp pain on the right side of my waist. I thought it was appendicitis, so I headed to the hospital. After conducting tests, x-rays, and a biopsy, the results showed that I had cancer and it spread in my colon and liver.
My wife took the results to a specialist at the American University Hospital in Beirut. Having reviewed the results, the doctor asked me to start a series of chemo sessions for a period of 6 months in order to undergo surgery to eradicate the illness. The surgery date was scheduled upon completing the chemo sessions.
The specialist and surgeon notified me that cancer would be completely removed from my colon and the process is simple. However, the process of hepatectomy was what troubled them. There were 16 different cancerous spots in the liver. The surgeon should remove more than half of the liver, and it was a risky surgery that could result in death.
I clothed myself in Saint Sharbel’s garb, and drank from the Sanctuary’s holy water in Baakafra. We started praying at home, asking Saint Sharbel to intervene and intercede with the Lord Jesus Christ for a miracle and for the success of the surgery.
Saint Sharbel appeared to my daughter in her room, and he told her, “Do not cry, and do not be afraid. I will heal your dad.”
I asked the surgeon if he may place Saint Sharbel’s icon under my head during the surgery. He did. I made the sign of the cross and said good-bye to my family as I entered the operating room. The doctor had completed the colon surgery successfully. He then shifted to operate on the liver, but to his surprise, all the cancerous spots that were inside the liver had moved to the outer covering of the liver. He easily peeled the outer covering without even touching the liver as was planned. The doctor left the surgery room, asking to see my wife and kids. He told them that what happened to me was a miracle. He didn’t know how there no longer was any trace of cancer inside the liver and how it was transferred to the outer covering. There was no medical explanation."
George was healed. He visited Saint Sharbel with his family to thank him for his intercession. He registered the miracle on July 19, 2021, supported by medical records.
