Testimony of Dariush Lucian Rygotsky
Mr. Dariush Lucian Rygotsky was born in Mychów near Krakow, Poland, in 1961. He is a filmmaker and a Catholic music composer residing in Krakow with his wife Halina. As he tells about his health condition:
“In 2019, I was admitted to the Boni Fratres Hospital due to stomach pains. After examinations, it was revealed that I had stomach cancer. I was treated by Professor Shura, head of the specialized oncological surgery department. I underwent surgery and the disease was removed on August 1, 2019. On August 6, 2019, while at home, a monk appeared to me at exactly 3 a.m. in a dream, which felt like a real vision. He said three phrases to me: firstly, 'Do not fear,' secondly, 'I am Sharbel,' and thirdly, 'I will help you.' As soon as I woke up, feeling assured of his help, I sensed his presence strongly. I immediately searched on Google to know about the identity of the strange monk named Sharbel, as he had confirmed to me. I found the novena of this saint and started praying to him. When I saw his picture on the internet, I recognized him immediately as the one who visited me in my dream.
The next day, my daughter knocked on the door to check on me and said, 'I have a surprise for you from a friend who gave me this blessed oil from Saint Sharbel.' I was very surprised because neither my wife nor anyone else was aware of Saint Sharbel's appearance to me. After a year passed since my healing, I remembered Saint Sharbel because I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in October 2020 and underwent surgery to remove it. The miracle was in its ease, and the healing was quick and easy without any complications or chemotherapy. From that moment, I returned to pray to Saint Sharbel and communicate with him, and a heartfelt friendship was born between us. In my heart, I conceived the idea of making a film about Saint Sharbel and the Maronite Church. This is what I can offer as a token of gratitude to the saint of Lebanon and the world.
I visited the shrine of Saint Sharbel at the Monastery of Saint Maron in Annaya, thanked him for my healing, prayed at his tomb, and in his hermitage on January 5, 2023, accompanied by two of my friends. I recorded the miracle with Mrs. Suzy Al-Hajj in the miracles register, and thanks to you, the heavenly doctor, on our earth."
