Healing Testimony of Ziad Sharbel Aoun
Mr. Ziad Sharbel Aoun, born in Aichiyeh in 1977 in the Jezzine district, North Lebanon, is married to Mrs. Margarita Lichinko. They have two children and reside in Bsaba, Baabda. He is an employee. He shares about his health condition based on medical records:
“Two and a half months ago, I began experiencing severe pain in my throat and tongue. I consulted a general practitioner who referred me to Dr. Ahmad Houmani, a specialist in throat and nose diseases. Dr. Houmani requested an 'MRI' image, which was conducted at Saint Joseph Laboratory in Ashrafieh. The MRI revealed a cancerous tumor in the middle of my tongue, extending to the neck arteries and lymph nodes. When Dr. Fouzi Moukrezl reviewed the image at the Sacred Heart Hospital, he performed an endoscopy to confirm the results. The endoscopy results perfectly matched the MRI image. He scheduled me for a biopsy after ten days to learn more about the severity of the disease.
I became very anxious and visited the shrine of Saint Sharbel, starting from the hermitage, where I knelt seeking his intercession before the Lord Jesus to heal me from my illness so I can stay with my family and children. Then, I visited his tomb, consumed soil from his grave, and also drank Saint Sharbel's oil, applying it to my tongue. I placed my trust in Saint Sharbel, believing he would heal me, allowing me to care for my children and family.
After returning home and praying to Saint Sharbel for four consecutive days, for three consecutive days at exactly 3:00 AM, I felt a pulsating sensation in my tongue accompanied by pain for ten seconds. I immediately went to the hospital where they examined me before entering. It turned out I had contracted COVID-19, so they postponed the operation for ten days. At the scheduled time, they performed the biopsy on my tongue.
After the biopsy, to my surprise, I found that the wound in my tongue was significant, even though the doctor had told me that the wound would be small. He mentioned that he did not find any tumor in my tongue to take the biopsy from. When the biopsy results came back, the doctor said to me, 'Ziad, you've puzzled us. You have miraculously healed from cancer. Congratulations on your health and recovery from your illness. Your disease was evident in the images, the endoscopy, and even to the naked eye. Congratulations, you're healed.'
On November 2, I came with my family, relatives, and friends to thank Saint Sharbel for his intercession, and I recorded the miracle along with the complete medical report. Thank you, Saint Sharbel, and thanks to the Lord Jesus."
