Healing Testimony of Sharbel Tarabay

The miracle happened to the child, Sharbel Tarabay, the son of Mary Zgheib. He was born in Ghazir in 2018 and lives in Safra. His parents state his health case supported by medical records.

“Sharbel underwent a few medical tests. These revealed that he suffered from Encephalitis. The MRI showed that his condition was worsening. The boy went into a coma at the intensive care unit at the American University Hospital.

The doctors then called us for a meeting and notified us that the child’s condition was very critical and that there was no hope for a cure.

That is when we decided to visit Saint Sharbel’s Monastery and offer a mass on behalf of my son, praying with the Family of Saint Sharbel for a miracle through the intercession of the Saint.

During the Divine Liturgy, I prayed and cried and asked the Saint to intercede for the child with the Lord Jesus Christ, so he would heal him from his sickness. I asked him for a sign to see if he was listening to my call.

Suddenly, I saw a bright light shining down from the church’s ceiling, and Saint Sharbel was in the midst of this bright ray. Then he disappeared. A few seconds later, we received a call from the hospital, notifying us that little Sharbel had opened his eyes and he started to talk and call ‘Mama’.

Sharbel woke up from the coma, which he was in for a week. The second day, he was transferred to a regular room. Two days later, Sharbel left the hospital to go home.

We came on the Saint’s Name Day, July 18, to thank him and to register the miracle, supported by the complete medical reports.
