The Maronite Church and Spirituality
The Feast of Pentecost in the Maronite Catholic Church
By Deacon George Geagea
In the Maronite tradition, the Feast of Pentecost holds a unique place. The liturgical prayers, rich in Syriac hymns and poetic imagery, invite the faithful to experience the descent of the Spirit not just as a past event, but as a present and personal encounter. The liturgy speaks of the Holy Spirit as the "giver of life," "sanctifier of the Church," and "comforter of the faithful."

The Glorious Birth of The Lord
By Fr. George El-Andari
Christmas is a major holiday in the Maronite church and it is the second feast of our Lord after Easter, the feast of feasts or the great feast. Traditionally in the eastern Churches they called Christmas the winter Easter because it is a major feast which was preceded by a period of forty days of fasting and abstinence, a period of a nine-day novena that ended with a Church celebration of the Glorious Birth of our Lord, Christmas.

A reflection on the liturgical year of the Maronite Church.
