The Family of Saint Sharbel’s Christmas 2025 Retreat

From December 4-7, members of the Family of Saint Sharbel, USA, gathered once again at Most Holy Trinity Monastery in Massachusetts, home of the Maronite Monks of Adoration, for their annual Christmas retreat.

Rooted in the richness of the Maronite spiritual tradition, each day of the retreat began with Safro, followed by quiet Eucharistic Adoration and the Divine Liturgy, drawing retreatants into the Advent themes of hope, peace, joy, and love.

Guided reflections led participants through the stories of Zechariah, Saint Joseph, the shepherds, and the Holy Family—figures whose faith, humility, and watchfulness illuminate the path toward Christmas. The monks’ reverent celebration of the Liturgy of the Hours, including Midday Prayer, Ramsho, and Sootoro, created a rhythm of praise and contemplation that shaped the retreat’s atmosphere.

An engaging Q&A session with Abbot Patrick on Saturday provided an opportunity for deeper insight and meaningful dialogue.

​Sunday’s Divine Liturgy with the monks marked the conclusion of the retreat, after which the participants received their blessings and returned home.
