Homily/Testimony of Dn. Michael Chirichella at St. Clare Roman Catholic Church, Rosedale, Oct 2025

During the 8:30 AM Holy Mass at St. Clare Roman Catholic Church in Rosedale, NY, 11422, on October 18th, 2025, Deacon Michael Chirichella from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish (Brooklyn, NY) delivered a moving homily about Saint Sharbel Makhlouf, the humble Maronite hermit and miracle worker whose intercession led to his healing from cancer. Preaching on the Feast of Saint Luke, the physician and evangelist, he spoke about faith, surrender, and divine providence—moving from the “I don’t know” moments of illness to the “now what” that follows God’s healing grace.

Immediately after the homily, the faithful were blessed with the holy oil from Saint Sharbel’s tomb in Annaya, Lebanon, invoking the saint’s intercession for healing. Deacon Michael also shared how his journey led him to connect with the Family of Saint Sharbel USA, who verified his medical records and recognized his healing as one of Saint Sharbel’s many intercessions.
