Healing Testimony of Suleiman Hanna Raffoul El Khoury
Mr. Suleiman Hanna Raffoul El-Khoury, born in Erdeh, Zgharta District, North Lebanon, in 1978, is married to Antoinette Semaan Fadlallah and has three children. He is a mechanical engineer and the head of the Maintenance Department at Notre Dame des Secours University Hospital in Jbeil and resides in the town of Halaat, Jbeil.
Here is his account of his health condition, which his medical reports support:
“On July 27, 2023, I developed severe jaundice over my entire skin, so I immediately entered Notre Dame des Secours Hospital and underwent an ultrasound and an MRI. The results showed a 4.5 cm tumor on the head of the pancreas, which caused an obstruction of the bile duct and led to this jaundice.
I was then transferred to Rizk Hospital in Beirut to undergo an endoscopy, the placement of a stent to widen the bile duct, and a biopsy of the tumor, performed by Dr. Riad Azar. The biopsy result confirmed that the tumor was malignant and required chemotherapy sessions to shrink it, followed by surgery to remove it.
I returned to Notre Dame des Secours Hospital and met with Dr. Clemence Matta, the oncologist, Dr. Bassem Akiki, the gastroenterologist, and Dr. Saba Mehanna, the surgeon. They set a treatment plan starting with four chemotherapy sessions to reduce the tumor to under 2 cm, then performing the resection surgery, after which I would undergo eight additional chemotherapy sessions. They scheduled the surgery for November 3, 2023.
Before undergoing the surgery, I visited the shrine of Saint Sharbel in Annaya. I ate soil from his grave and drank oil from his sanctuary, and I prayed, asking for his intercession before the Lord Jesus Christ, for the grace of my healing, and I entrusted my situation to him.
The surgery was then performed with complete success. Biopsy samples were taken and sent for testing to Notre Dame des Secours Hospital, Rizk Hospital, and the American University Hospital. The results were identical and confirmed the disappearance of the tumor and the cancerous disease.
After one year had passed since my healing, and after repeated medical tests, I came on a thanksgiving visit to Saint Sharbel and registered the miracle, attaching the full medical report, on October 25, 2024. Thank you, O Physician of Heaven.”
