Healing Testimony of Sobhiyeh Abdallah Shahrour
I, Sobhiyeh Abdallah Shahrour, widow of the late Salim Younes from Ain al-Bayda, and mother of two daughters—one deceased, the other Attorney Rania Younes, wife of Judge Asad Mahrez, Public Prosecutor at the Court of Latakia, Syria—declare the following in the presence of Monsignor Antoine Deeb:
I suffered an internal hemorrhage which led to a stroke and paralysis.
I saw in a dream that I was visiting Saint Sharbel, and moments later, I saw him in my room. I said to him: “You are Saint Sharbel? I visited your monastery long ago.” He replied: “Yes, I am. You are ill in your head, but through the power of the Lord you will return to your life.”
He gave me a white piece resembling mastic and placed it in my mouth. I felt it was hard, and he said to me, “Keep it in your mouth—it will help you.” He left me another piece like the first one and said, “This is for the time of need.” Then he left my room, and immediately the pain in my head completely vanished, and my movement was restored.
I got up and explained to my daughter Rania what had happened. I regained my strength and energy, and it was as though a blessing and grace had filled my home.
