Healing Testimony of Marise Anton Salameh
Mrs. Marise Anton Salameh, born in 1970 in Zouk Mikael, Lebanon, is married to Mr. Chakrallah Boulos Salameh from Kfardebian and is a mother of two. She resides in Zouk Mikael and holds a degree in educational sciences.
Here is her account of her health condition, which her medical reports support:
"I had been suffering from continuous bleeding since 2012. I consulted several doctors, including Dr. Milad Rizk and Dr. Rawad Bassil, who prescribed numerous medications, none of which helped. All of them advised me to undergo a hysterectomy, but I was afraid to proceed because anesthesia posed a serious risk to my life.
For 12 years, I continued to bleed, just like the woman with the hemorrhage mentioned in the Gospel. When I had lost all hope in medical solutions, I turned fully to Divine Providence and began praying to Saint Sharbel, the heavenly physician.
I sought his blessings—through oak leaves, oil, and soil from his tomb—and wore his cloak, persistently asking for his intercession and healing from my chronic condition.
My mother, who was also praying to Saint Sharbel, saw him in a dream. He showed her the exact location of my illness and told her, ‘She is completely healed from the bleeding and the ovarian cysts.’
These cysts had been discovered in my latest tests prior to the dream. I had been so weak I could hardly walk, yet with inspiration from Saint Sharbel, I joined the October 22 procession, which concluded with a Mass celebrated by the Papal Nuncio, during which we received the Plenary Indulgence.
In my most recent examination with Dr. Rawad Bassil on November 24, my healing was confirmed.
So I visited Saint Sharbel’s shrine, thanked him for the grace of healing, and officially recorded the miracle on November 26, 2023."
