Healing Testimony of Georges Maron Akiki
Mr. Georges Maron Akiki, born in 1984 in Harajel, Lebanon, is married to Regina Hanna Akiki from Kfardebian. He lives in Zouk Mosbeh, Lebanon, and works as a men's barber.
Here is his account of her health condition, which his medical reports support:
"I experienced intense chest pain that extended to my back. I was admitted to KMC Hospital, where an MRI was requested. The results were concerning, so a CT scan was ordered. On October 2, 2023, my wife was informed of the findings: there was a mass in my left lung and a spot on the bones.
The doctor advised my wife to take me to an oncologist. The specialist urgently requested a lung biopsy. My wife gave me Saint Sharbel’s blessings, prayed for his intercession with our Lord Jesus Christ, and asked for the grace of healing.
The doctor performed a bronchoscopy to take the biopsy, but found no trace of any mass—the lungs were clean and completely healthy. This result came despite previous tests clearly indicating the presence of cancer in the lung and other areas. The examination was performed at Notre Dame des Secours University Hospital in Jbeil.
As I was being taken into the operating room and my wife was fearful, a nurse held her hand. My wife told her, 'Saint Sharbel is ahead of us—they won’t find anything.' She prayed without ceasing during the entire hour and a half I was in the operating room.
The doctors were shocked by my sudden healing and the complete disappearance of the illness from my body. My wife prayed to Saint Sharbel again, saying, 'What are we supposed to do now?' That night, Saint Sharbel appeared to her in a dream, wearing a doctor’s coat, and said, 'This file is closed.'
I thank Saint Sharbel, Saint Faustina, Saint Rafqa, and all the saints for their intercession. On October 30, 2023, I came with my family to thank Saint Sharbel and officially recorded the miracle."
