Healing Testimony of Elias Youssef Rahmeh
Mr. Elias Youssef Rahmeh, born in 1960 in Bsharri, North Lebanon, is married to Mona Suleiman Al-Haddad from Aana and has three children. He works as a driver and resides in Sin El Fil, Beirut.
Here is his account of his health condition, which his medical reports support:
“I state that in October 2023, I was admitted to Our Lady of Succor University Hospital in Jbeil due to pains I was suffering from. After examinations and imaging, it was found that I had a tumor in the rectum measuring 6 cm in length. After the biopsy, it was found to be cancerous.
According to the doctors’ opinions—Dr. Bashir Elias (surgeon), Dr. Bassem Akiki (endoscopy), Dr. Clemence Matta (chemotherapy and radiation), and Dr. Christian Haddad (blood tests)—they decided to subject me to chemotherapy and radiation treatment. After the treatment, it was found that the size of the tumor had decreased by 40%. At that point, Dr. Bashir Elias decided to perform surgery to remove it and set the date for January 31, 2024.
I prayed a lot to the saints, especially to Saint Sharbel. Two days before the surgery, Saint Sharbel appeared to me in a dream accompanied by a priest, shining with light. On the morning of the 31st, before going to the hospital, I embraced the statue of Saint Sharbel, and three times I shouted loudly, ‘You are the one who will do the operation,’ then I kissed it and we left for the hospital.
When we arrived, they took me into the operating room and administered anesthesia that was meant to last five hours, because the operation was difficult. The doctor examined the tumor but did not find it, so he called the endoscopy doctor, who also did not find anything. He then took a biopsy from the rectum, and the result came back that there was no cancerous disease.
The illness disappeared from my body through the intercession of Saint Sharbel. I underwent the examinations three times, and the tests confirmed my healing. Therefore, I came on August 25, 2024, to thank Saint Sharbel, and I recorded the miracle.”
