Healing Testimony of Chantal Elias Ghatass
Mrs. Chantal Elias Ghatass, born in Rmileh, Lebanon, in 1967, is married to Mr. Malek Nicolas AlJaweesh from Aalman–Chouf, Lebanon, and is the mother of three children. She lives with her family in Aalman and is a homemaker.
Here is her account of her health condition, which her medical reports support:
“In 2016, I began suffering from shortness of breath and was admitted to Raee Hospital in Saida. After medical tests and imaging, it was found that I had a lung infection. A biopsy was performed, which revealed that I was suffering from lung cancer. I underwent 16 chemotherapy sessions and 30 radiation sessions, and was prescribed an immune therapy drug, which I took until 2021.
In 2021, a CT scan revealed a 5 cm cancerous tumor in my spleen. I underwent six additional chemotherapy sessions, which reduced the tumor to 1.5 cm, and was placed under observation.
On December 21, 2023, new CT and PET scans showed that the cancer had spread to my lungs, spleen, abdominal lymph nodes, and the adrenal gland. My condition was declared hopeless, and I lay bedridden, enduring severe pain.
During this critical time, my daughter Loreen and her husband visited the shrine of Saint Sharbel in Annaya, bringing back blessings of soil, oil, water, and oak leaves. I mixed the blessings with a bottle of water, and small bubbles began to appear inside it. I prayed to Saint Sharbel, asking for his intercession before the Lord Jesus Christ, and drank the water, leaving about a centimeter at the bottom.
After drinking it, I vomited about half a bucket of white fluid. Before sleeping, I drank the remaining water and felt intense stomach pain and shortness of breath for a few minutes and then I was relieved.
When I later underwent a new CT scan at Nabatieh Governmental Hospital, the results showed no trace of cancer anywhere in my body. When I showed the scan to Dr. Fadi Nasr, he was astonished and told me: ‘What happened to you can only be described as a miracle.’
I was healed through the intercession of Saint Sharbel; therefore, I came with my family to thank him and recorded the miracle on April 3, 2024, attaching the full medical report.”
