Healing Testimony of Carla Jean El-Helou
Mrs. Carla Jean El-Helou, born in Furn El Chebbak, Lebanon, in 1972, is married to Mr. Hanna Tabet from Bhamdoun, and is the mother of one child. She resides in Ain El Remmaneh, Beirut and owns an optical shop.
Here is her account of her health condition, which her medical reports support:
“On October 8, 2021, I dreamed of Saint Sharbel telling me to visit him in Annaya on the 13th of every month. From then on, I began visiting him every month on the 13th.
On July 4, 2022, I traveled to Turkey. After I arrived, I suffered severe pain in my throat and developed a fever, so I returned to Lebanon. My blood pressure dropped, and I was admitted to the emergency department at Hôtel-Dieu Hospital, where Dr. Zoghbi received me. After the tests were conducted, it became clear that the enzyme levels throughout my body were abnormal. I also developed jaundice, and problems appeared in my heart, kidneys, and creatinine levels. This required the intervention of a cardiologist, a nephrologist, and several doctors from different specialties. Since they could not find me a room in the hospital, I had to spend the night in the emergency department.
In the morning, I fell from my bed, and it was found that my blood pressure had dropped to 4 over 2. They treated me with water and salt to raise my blood pressure, but I did not improve, so they admitted me to intensive care. There, they decided to give me water and salt through the veins in my neck. After great difficulty, they were able to find a usable vein because the veins in my neck were dry. However, my breathing became difficult because my lungs had filled with water.
That evening, I asked the nurse if I could sleep that night. She answered, ‘Sleep is not important; what matters is that you make it through until morning.’ At that moment, I cried out to Saint Sharbel and asked for his intercession before the Lord Jesus Christ, so that He would heal me from my illness and bring me back to life.
Between sleep and wakefulness, Saint Sharbel appeared to me, holding a handkerchief in his hand. He asked me to place my hand on the handkerchief and go with him, and he said to me, ‘Do not look back.’ Then he flew me through the air, while beneath me there was fire and destruction, until we reached a white mountain, and the vision ended. I knew then that I would not die now.
I spent several days in intensive care, and my tests began improving day after day. After that, I left the hospital, and the doctors did not discover the cause of my illness, nor did they prescribe me any medication.
On November 13, 2024, I came to thank Saint Sharbel for his intercession, and I registered the miracle, attaching the full medical report.”
