Healing Testimony of Boutros Sarkis Doumit
Mr. Boutros Sarkis Semaan Doumit, from the village of Jalyana, Dahr Safra, Syria, was born in 1940. His mother’s name is Zahdeh Youssef Satamo.
Here is his account of his health condition:
“I was afflicted with a large tumor on my face, and medicine was unable to explain it. My temperature began to rise, and I became confused about my situation. I visited every doctor in the area, until one doctor decided that I needed surgery to remove the tumor.
I asked the doctor to give me a few days before carrying it out, and I asked my son Rami to bring me Saint Sharbel’s oil.
Before going to sleep, I prayed to Saint Sharbel and asked for his intercession before the Lord Jesus Christ, so that I would be spared the operation. I drank from Saint Sharbel’s oil and anointed my face with it.
In my sleep, I felt fingers touching the tumor on my face and pressing on it. I felt great pain and cried out, ‘Ah!’ Then I heard a voice saying to me: ‘Do not be afraid. I am Father Sharbel, and Our Mother the Virgin is with me. Pray, my son, and love one another.’
After a few moments, I vomited, and a large pebble came out of my mouth. The pain disappeared, the tumor vanished, and I recovered.
For this reason, I went to the Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Latakia, Tartus, and Hama, Chorbishop Antoine Dib, and told him what had happened to me. I asked him to register the miracle in Annaya, in the presence of two witnesses who were familiar with my condition: Simon Ntanios Doumit and Marwan Michel Doumit.
The miracle was registered in Annaya on January 6, 2025, by Chorbishop Antoine Dib.”
