Healing Testimony of Anwar Kamel Suleiman
Mr. Anwar Kamel Suleiman, born in Beirut in 1959, is married to Mrs. Roula Ibrahim Mansour and is the father of three children. He belongs to the Syriac Orthodox community. He is an expatriate with his family in Australia and resides in Sydney. His profession is tailoring.
Here is his account of his health condition, which his medical reports support:
“In 2017, I was diagnosed with cancer in the bladder, and my treatment was done by cystoscopy. After four years, and due to a delay in treatment, the disease spread to the urinary tract along with the right kidney. At that point, Dr. Simon Bariol decided that a surgical operation was necessary to remove the disease by taking out the kidney and the urinary tract, and he scheduled the operation for 28/11/2023.
In the month of October, I prayed in my home in front of an image of the Holy Trinity, asking for the grace of my healing so that I could fulfill my household duties. The next day, a bottle containing water from the grotto of Saint Sharbel reached me, and I was asked to drink from this water whenever I felt thirsty. I drank for eight days, and then the bottle broke, and it was a sign from Saint Sharbel that I had been healed from my illness.
On that same day, I went to the doctor and asked him to conduct a urine test to find out whether there were cancer cells. He asked me to do it for three consecutive days. The result came confirming my healing, which led me to contact Dr. Simon Bariol so that he would repeat the cystoscopy to confirm my healing, at my own expense. After some back and forth, the examination was performed by him at the hospital, and the result—together with the culture result—confirmed that there was no cancer in the kidney or the urinary tract.
My healing was accomplished through the intercession of Saint Sharbel. Therefore, I made a thanksgiving visit to the shrine of Saint Sharbel, and we handed the medical reports to Father Louis Matar and recorded the miracle on June 25, 2024. Thank you, Saint Sharbel, our intercessor before the Lord Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever.”
