Healing Testimony of Antoinette Joseph El-Asmar
Mrs. Antoinette Joseph El-Asmar, born in Sad El-Bouchrieh, Beirut, in 1974, is married to Tanious Abboud and is a mother of one child. She lives with her family in Hrajel, Mount Lebanon.
Here is her account of her health condition, which her medical reports support:
“In 2022, I began to suffer from severe pain in my left hand. I consulted Dr. Gilbert Assi, and after examining my hand, he referred me to Dr. George Mourad, the treating physician at Notre Dame des Secours University Hospital in Jbeil, who in turn requested an ultrasound (‘echo’) of the tendons in my hand. The result confirmed that the tendons in my hand were stiff and lifeless.
He prescribed injections, medications, and physiotherapy, which I underwent with Dr. Ghassan Akiki, who performed more than one hundred physiotherapy sessions. I did not benefit from all these treatments, and I could no longer move my hand.
I visited Saint Sharbel and asked for his intercession before the Lord Jesus Christ to heal my hand, but Saint Sharbel did not heal me during that visit. I went back to Dr. Ghassan Akiki, and he told me, ‘Your hand cannot be healed.’
On October 24, while I was taking a shower, I began to cry and asked Saint Sharbel, if my time had come, to heal me. In one moment, my hand was healed and returned to normal.
I visited Dr. Ghassan Akiki and moved my hand in front of him. He said to me, ‘You visited Saint Sharbel,’ and I answered him, ‘He visited me.’
I came on a thanksgiving visit to Saint Sharbel on October 26, 2024, two days after my healing, accompanied by the medical report, and I registered the miracle.”
