Healing Testimony of Aline Raymond Al-Anissi
Miss Aline Raymond Al-Anissi, daughter of Josephine, born in Housh Hala, Riyaq, Lebanon, in 1994, and currently residing in Zouk Mosbeh and Hrajel. She is a nutrition specialist. As she recounts her medical condition, supported by medical reports:
"I, Aline Al-Anissi, was diagnosed with a stuttering condition (DYSARTHRIA) at the age of nine. The causes of this condition are still unknown. It is a psychological condition that may have been triggered by severe fear or another psychological factor. As a result, my speech became broken, unclear, and difficult to understand. I consulted several psychiatrists, speech therapists, and more than thirty doctors who treated me for 20 years, but all treatments failed. My father knocked on every door hoping for a cure for my condition, but he lost hope in my recovery.
On July 15, my birthday, I went to visit Saint Sharbel in Faraya on foot. I didn’t ask for anything, just to wish him a happy feast day. On July 16, I visited Saint Sharbel in Annaya with my family to celebrate his feast. I lit two candles for my family’s intentions and overheard someone asking for blessed water. I asked for a bottle of the blessed water from the shrine, and as soon as I held it in my hands, tears started pouring down my face. I broke down crying in front of his tomb and felt chills all over my body. I drank the blessed water and was healed from the stuttering that had plagued me for 20 years.
I first informed my father about my healing, then my family and friends, all of whom were amazed by my recovery. I visited Saint Sharbel to celebrate his feast, but he celebrated with me by giving me the most beautiful and precious gift—he restored my ability to speak properly. So, I came with my family to thank him on July 19, and I registered the miracle. Thank you, Saint Sharbel, the healer of the afflicted."
