Healing Testimony for The child Sharbel Fadel

The child Sharbel Saïd Said Fadel, son of Dolly Adnan Mkhayel, originally from Kfarhazir, Lebanon, was born in Edmonton, Canada, and belongs to the Greek Orthodox Church. The family resides in Canada.

As his parents recount his health condition, supported by the attached medical reports:

"Our son Sharbel was born on October 22, 2015, at Grey Nuns Hospital in Edmonton, Canada. At birth, he swallowed amniotic fluid, and his lungs were blocked. For 18 minutes he had no oxygen. After many attempts, the doctors managed to open his lungs and placed him in intensive care on artificial respiration for eight days. His heart and organs remained in critical condition, and the doctors warned us that Sharbel would likely be paralyzed or severely disabled.

We later brought him home and discovered he was deaf. When we consulted the doctor, she confirmed that Sharbel was completely deaf and advised us to learn sign language.

At night, my husband brought an image of Saint Sharbel, placed it in our son’s room, and tucked another under Sharbel’s head. He prayed asking Saint Sharbel to intercede before the Lord Jesus Christ to heal him from his illnesses.

The next morning, we awoke to Sharbel laughing, as though conversing with someone, for nearly half an hour. When his mother lifted him, his clothes were soaked with water, and the picture of Saint Sharbel under his head was split into two pieces. All the while, Sharbel kept his eyes fixed on Saint Sharbel’s image, smiling and babbling as if speaking with him.

A week later, it was time for Sharbel’s scheduled exam. He underwent the tests, and when the results came back, the doctors asked us to repeat them, saying, “Something must be wrong.”

We repeated the tests, and the results confirmed that our son Sharbel had been completely healed of all his illnesses: his hearing was fully restored, and the two holes in his heart had disappeared.

At that moment, we decided that we would register the miracle in Annaya during our first visit to Lebanon.

On January 4, 2024, we went to Annaya to give thanks to Saint Sharbel, attaching the full medical report, and we officially recorded the miracle."
