Healing Testimony for Rita Antoine Kirakos
First miracle after the feast of Saint Sharbel in 2024. It is recorded under number 29572 in the miracle registers, and it happened to the young girl Rita Antoine Kirakos, born in Beirut in 2011. Her mother’s name is Raymonda Joseph Asmar.
Here is her mother’s account of her health condition, which her medical reports support:
“We discovered that Rita could not hear with her right ear when she was ten years old. We began taking her to doctors in several hospitals. On June 24, 2021, we received a report from Al Arz Hospital stating that our daughter Rita had been deaf in her right ear since birth. We took her to the American University Medical Center in Beirut, and after performing an audiogram, it was confirmed that she could not hear with that ear.
We waited two years, until 2023, to admit her to the American University Hospital, and I began praying to Saint Sharbel, asking for his intercession before the Lord Jesus Christ to heal her, restore her hearing, and spare her from surgeries. I said to him: ‘Just as you are healing people from their diseases, you must heal my daughter and restore her hearing. And if you do not heal her, I will not believe that you heal anyone.’
They performed a hearing test for her, and the doctors were astonished to find that her hearing was normal. I told them it was through the intercession of Saint Sharbel, and my daughter’s doctor began to cry.
So I cried out to Saint Sharbel and asked him to forgive me for my lack of faith. I thanked him for restoring my daughter’s hearing, and I came to visit him and recorded the miracle, attaching the complete medical report, on July 25, 2024.”
