Healing Testimony for Mary Jo El-Shami
Mary Jo Joseph El-Shami, born in 2008 in Ableh, Lebanon, is a school student residing there. Her mother shares Mary Jo's health condition along with the medical report:
"My daughter Mary Jo suffered from epilepsy and was treated by several doctors including Dr. Ghassan Humeiss at St. George Hospital, Dr. George Hanna at Lady of Lebanon Hospital, Dr. Paul El Hajj at LAU Hospital, and Dr. Waseem Nasreddine at AUB Hospital, but all treatments failed. She experienced multiple seizures daily. When we lost hope in medical recovery, we turned to the heavenly physician, Saint Sharbel. We stopped her medications and started giving her daily blessings from Saint Sharbel, including oil, incense, and oak leaves.
On April 27, 2023, at 9:30 PM, Mary Jo experienced a severe seizure that left her unconscious for a minute. When she regained consciousness, she did not recognize us for twenty minutes. Then she quickly turned her head, ran to her brother Sharbel's room, looked at the wall, and tears started streaming from her eyes. She said 'yes' three times while nodding her head. Her mother began singing a Saint Sharbel’s hymn, and Mary Jo started screaming, ran to her chair, and fainted again. When she regained consciousness, I asked why she was crying. She answered, 'Saint Sharbel appeared to me and said three times that you will be healed,' and I answered him 'yes' each time and bowed my head. He asked me to return to the chair.'
After this apparition of Saint Sharbel, my daughter was healed. I took her to Dr. Paul El Hajj for a check-up, and after new tests, he confirmed her recovery. On July 13, we came to thank Saint Sharbel for his intercession for my daughter Mary Jo, and we registered the miracle."
