Healing Testimony for Jacob Borovik

A miracle of Saint Sharbel in Poland in the Lubin area with the young man Yaacoub (Jacob) Borovik on March 17, 2018.

Jacob is now 22 years old. At the age of 17, he started using drugs. One day, he took an overdose at 7 o'clock. His brother entered the room and found him lying on the floor, unconscious, and seemingly dead. He called the ambulance and started resuscitating him, following instructions from the emergency service, for 30 minutes until the ambulance arrived to take him to the hospital in the Lubin area.

Due to his critical condition and the difficulty of reaching the hospital by car, they decided to airlift him by helicopter. During this time, his mother kept saying, "Jesus, I trust in you." When they arrived at the hospital, Jacob's condition was deteriorating. They took him to the emergency room, and the doctors began resuscitating him as he was dying in front of his family. Jacob was put on life support machines.

Throughout these events, Jacob's mother was praying. She asked the nurse to place a picture of St. Sharbel beside Jacob on the table and began praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet followed by the Rosary. Suddenly, the nurse smelled the scent of incense, so she placed the picture of St. Sharbel on Jacob's head and on his shirt. The mother kept praying continuously, saying, "Jesus, I trust in you."

Despite her prayers, she heard the devil's voice telling her, "It is God's fault that this happened to your son." But whenever she heard this, she clung to her prayers even more and did not stop saying, "Jesus, I trust in you." It was during Holy Week.

The hospital chaplain came to visit Jacob and pray for him because Jacob's condition was critical, and the doctor was unable to do anything as he was now on dialysis. The chaplain began to pray, and when he left, he told the mother that her son would recover through her prayers and would rise by God's will just as Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. The mother intensified her prayers, holding the picture of St. Sharbel and continuously repeating, "Jesus, I trust in you."

On Good Friday, the doctor entered Jacob's room and saw that Jacob was breathing and his color was normal. The doctor was amazed and requested the necessary tests, especially for the kidneys that had stopped functioning for days. The results showed that everything was normal. The doctor was astonished and said that a divine power had intervened, and the picture of St. Sharbel and the mother's prayers had saved Jacob.

Today, Jacob is in good health and is a soldier in the Polish army. Last September, he entered military school and continues his life normally. Jacob's family thanks St. Sharbel and the merciful Jesus for healing their son Jacob.
This is the testimony of Jacob's mother, Mrs. Kristina.

Glory be to God.
